La carne y el cambio social Perspectivas sociológicas sobre el consumo y la producción de animales
¿Por qué ha pasado tanto tiempo para que la investigación sociológica considerase como temas importantes la comida y el comer en general, así como la carne en particular? Recientes estudios, en diálogo con algunos textos clásicos, permiten profundizar en aspectos como la relación entre carne, género y clase, y en otras cuestiones vinculadas a la forma de comer y de producir alimentos, en medio de diversos movimientos que se enfocan en el sufrimiento animal y la defensa del ambiente.

Estos cambios no se han limitado a qué comen las personas sino también a cómo comen. Salir a comer, comer comida para llevar (no solo durante la pandemia) y la comida preparada modifican profundamente las prácticas alimentarias.
